Hi all,
I was trying to verify receipt of my reference letters on the OMSAS website and it wasn't working. So, I clicked on the "important dates for 2005" button to see if the server might be down again.
Instead, this is what I found...
"The application for 2005 entry will be available in early July 2004. All deadlines for the 2005 application will be earlier than in previous years. Most importantly, you will be required to register your intention to apply by directly entering the COMPASS.OMSAS 2005 on-line application system by 4:30 p.m. (EST) September 15, 2004."
Interesting eh?? I wonder if this change in deadlines mirrors the earlier release date of the MCAT scores this year (and last)... which is partly what caused the huge OMSAS slowdowns that we saw this year... and which also is associated with the increase in applicants to Mac and Ottawa last year.
Anyway, just wanted to point it out to everyone.
Hopefully... none of us will need to worry about it, since we'll all be happily studying medicine next year at the uni of our choice
Cheers,
Tirisa
