I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the letter means by an "abstract publication", on another thread someone referred to it as an abstract published by a conference. I find this a bit confusing because I have been to 2 conferences and they handed out booklets with the abstract of everybody that was participating but it was really casual, and definitely not like a journal. I'm so down about this, I just realized that I am soooo not productive... Two U. of Ottawa representatives were present at last night's event: Nicole Racine (MD Admissions Officer) and a second year medical student. They shared the following:

1) Last year, UofO received 2447 applications. 690 applicants met the eligibility requirements (pre-requisite courses, etc.) and passed the WGPA cut-offs. These 690 applicants had their sketch assessments reviewed and scored. Does anyone know if Carleton U. offers any of the prereq. science courses in the summer? My nursing program at Ottawa U. doesn't have room for any electives until third year, and I'm hoping I can get started on the prereqs before then. I tried going on the website for Carleton but I couldn't find a schedule for summer courses. Also, does it matter when one does the prereqs, summer or regular year. Thanks.
