I'm practising the perceptuability portion of the DAT. I'm finding all the sections easy except for the TOPVIEW, FRONTVIEW, END VIEW questions. I just don't get them. I'm honestly worried, because i've done so many questions, and i'm just not getting it. Does anyone have an suggestions on how they figured it out or what technique the used to grasp these types of questions. Just practise?

I'm on the waiting list for UWO, UofT, and USask. I'm sure they are making their final cuts by now. But as I am waiting anxiously, I'm still confused as to which of the three schools have the best program. I heard USask does a good job of preparing Students for 'real' dental work, but is it better that UofT or UWO?

What are your guys' thoughts?

I still don't know how the UWO faculty translates my GPA into percentage. If I just average those two years using the marks as it appears on my transcript, my average is about 83%. Which I hope is good enough to get an interview this year.

NOW, using the OMSASS would be the % go up higher or lower? I got no clue.

I visited London last week and had an amazing time. The tour Trish gave me was fabulous. I saw the Sim lab and the clinics. Moreover, met many students who all seem to stand behind UWO. In fact, one 4th year student spent 1.5 hours telling me everything there is about UWO Dentistry and London. Only complaint was politics which happens everywhere.

Does it depend on the year you are in? Also, are there dental students reading this who have kids? Its getting toward that time for us, so I'm wondering if its reasonable or if its better to wait. What would be a decent score on the carving test? I heard that UofT didn't look at it before, do they do it now? Most schools do put emphasis on it, right?

Would I need to get over 20 on every section in order to be competitive? I've been looking at review material for the Feb Dat. I was thinking of picking up Kaplan's Prep Book. For what I've read, I should also supplement the Bio Section with my own material.

Also, are there any practice tests out there?
